Location data: streamlining your business
The device or app uses geolocation technology to send periodic location information to SoloProtect Insights.
Managers can view the latest location of their whole team or individual team members on a map within the Insights platform.
Working status (e.g. whether the employee is on-shift, off-shift or on annual leave) and device battery life information can also be accessed.
Managers can use the information provided to track the progress of work and make informed and efficient redeployment decisions.
How does the Latest Location feature work?
If switched on, the Latest Location feature will use the device or app's geolocation technology to periodically plot user locations on a map which can be accessed via our Insights platform.
If I don't have the Latest Location feature, will location information still be used for any other purpose?
If the Latest Location feature isn’t activated as part of your solution, the only time user location information will be used is in the event of a genuine alert. When a call comes through to our Monitoring Center, operators can locate the user and pass it on to the relevant emergency services to ensure a swift response.
How often is the map updated?
We can determine how often the map is updated based on your requirements. Please chat to us about this.
Can I access any other information via the map?
